Great food great selection great service no complaints at all. Our server was fantastic. Came back the next day for second breakfast :-) We had the Wildwest omelette, the California croissant, the biscuits and gravy, and the western skillet between our two visits. All of them were delicious. The water was just properly infused with fruit. Even though it was a busy holiday weekend, we didn't have to wait more than five or 10 minutes. Next time I'm in Denver, I know where my brunch will be :-)

What a disappointment. We used to go to the location downtown and loved it. This place is a mess. Very slow service and not good food. Our waitress disappeared for long periods of time and took forever to even come over the first time. The good was very spicy and not flavorful. I like spicy food but it has to taste good too. The potatoes that come with breakfast taste like they were coated with cayenne and noting else. We got the double stuffed rancheros which come with a chipotle sauce. The sauce was very thick and looked to be dolloped in one spot do the part was way too spicy. We won't come back. Too many other places in the area. Also looked like the manager was too busy serving to actually manage the restaurant.

The Good Egg, the Great Egg maybe but the Delectable Egg is pushing it. The service was not that great, we did have to wait a good 30 minutes to get seated (be prepared if you come on Sundays). We were seated in a nice area with some good space but you wouldn't be able to tell because of all the clutter on the table. The food was decent, it was a good egg but not what I expected based on the yelp reviews. - - I ordered the California Benedict and the picture made it look oh so good, I wish it were the case. It tasted like it was sitting out for a while. We took a stab at the cinnamon roll and it was hot, ready and very tasty!

Awful service. We were very patient, and our waitress didn't even acknowledge that we needed refills until our food came, which we didn't get until after she dropped the check off. She didn't communicate to us why our food took forever, and when it did come, she never checked back. The food was very yummy, not the biggest portions I've seen but I filled up no problem. I worked as a bartender for 6 years and even I couldn't handle how awful the service was that day. Good food, awful service (from one server, I hope they aren't all like her)

Good ambiance. Pleasant staff, breakfast was very good. It's hard to find a good breakfast place, this is definitely one of them. The only thing I didn't like were the hashbrowns. Everything else was fab

Came back this Sunday morning to find the place packed. If you want to eat at the counter you better be ready to channel your inner Katniss. Idiots walk.in and try to take spots from people that are already waiting on a spot. Hey, I warned the lady twice that I was next for and open counter seat. Her wounds will heal. Don't be a douche and follow protocol.

Great local place to eat if you get the chance! My husband and I ate here twice on vacation because the food was so fresh, filling, and flavorful! Great service and great value for the price. Good coffee too.

Easily the best breakfast of my life. We were in town for Rocky Mountain Furcon and tried to go to The Original Pancake House but their wait time was too long. It seemed to be a blessing in disguise as the meal we had at The Delectable Egg was perfect. I got their strawberry and cream cheese French toast and was blown away. I really wish they had these in Austin Texas. I can't recommend this place enough.

I was looking for a new place to have breakfast and I came across the Delectable Egg. In a modern shopping plaza, I was impressed with the decor immediately. I came in, and the hostess greeted me right away. The place was packed, but since I was alone, my wait was less than 5 minutes. Now, I have to say that my table was on a strange slant...or just appeared to be that way. It was weird. My server was sweet, but not very attentive. And the food was alright. Now amazing and not bad. Just alright. My biggest complaint was the french toast, which was extremely soggy. (Which could have been due to the massive amount of butter was put on top of it) Would I go back again? Sure....but I won't run back. If I am in the DTC area again on a weekend morning...then possibly.

Great taste at an affordable price. Like the free wifi and the free coffee for a Yelp check-in. I had the Smart Healthy French Toast with 4 egg Whites on the side (extra cost). Nice spot in Denvers DTC area.

Happy New year! We stopped in for our first meal of 2015 this morning. They were busy (of course) but quoted us a reasonably accurate wait time and service was great: prompt, friendly, non-hurried. Our main issues were the temperature and the food. The front door kept getting held open for longer than was necessary to get people in or out so it was much colder inside than it should have been. I felt bad for the hostess team... the food was fine but underwhelming. After a new year's evening of wine and champagne, I was craving some good old fashioned hollandaise. The sauce I was tasting on my California Benedict had the flavor of melted butter ... and not much else. The avocado was generous & perfectly ripe which almost made up for the sauce, but the hashbrowns were incredibly crispy & tasted of oil. I tasted my man's potatoes and they were much better. Made me a touch jealous. Overall, I was left wishing I had been less lazy and cooked for us instead. Ah well.

MMMMMM, is all I can say about this place. Went over the weekend, got to sit on the patio and enjoy a mimosa while waiting for my fresh fruit and yogurt with granola. Missed out on taking a photo. Next time I will. The staff is wonderful and makes me feel like a valued customer.

Solid place to grab brunch. I have absolutely no complaints. Friendly service, bottomless coffee, and good breakfast food. Decor is impressive, clean and modern. The staff is friendly and attentive. Since it's in a more commercial/office area, I get the feeling that this is more of an adult brunch place rather than a family place. Lots of small tables instead of little booths. I really enjoyed their potato skillets (I got the fiesta skillet). It had a good balance of potatoes, salsa, and cheese. I truly enjoyed every bite. Next time I go, I will definitely try some of their other selections.

A great place for breakfast. Eggs over easy weren't soaked in grease. Bacon cooked perfectly. Service first rate. Bright, light place even has outdoor seating. My only complaint is that the "home fries" just weren't very tasty, not seasoned adequately or interesting. Wish I'd ordered the hash browns instead. If they threw a few onions in they'd have a winner. Oh and the French Toast was really outstanding. We'll be back next time we're in Denver. Thank you, Delectable Egg for a great breakfast.

  • Christine R.

Great brunch! I had the club sandwich with fruit and enjoyed it very much. We went about noon on Sunday and the line was long, but they got us seated in a reasonable amount of time. If I lived in the area, I'd be here again soon!

  • Robert R.

Stopped by here relatively early on a Saturday morning. We were quickly seated with menus and coffee orders taken right away. Service was exceptional, with our waitress returning number of times to make sure we had fresh coffee and water. The owner/manager also stop by to ask us how our food was. I had corned beef hash and my buddy had a Denver omelette. Both of them were excellent. Price seems pretty reasonable. we were in and out in less than 45 minutes. We will definitely be back. Good food and the wait is not as bad as the pancake house.

  • Alex J.

Visiting from out of state and was amazed with both the food itself and the the service! It was my first experience having pork green chili (on a eggs Benedict no less) and I was not disappointed. I sat outside far away from anyone else and yet I was constantly checked up on even by the manager! Will definitely be coming back.

  • Chong ..

Foods not good. Salty and feel like chewing plastic when I ate potatoes. Will never go back. Based on other review, this place must be good, but my experience was not.

    (1)
  • Bruce H.

Amazing all around! Service was great, the wait was 30min. (and worth it!), and the menu was extensive! Everything was fresh and tasted better than I have had anywhere else recently. Dishes were cooked perfectly and they were not heavy or greasy in any way. The Chipolte sauce was money! The manager even stopped by twice during the meal to take dishes away and offer to-go beverages! What service! Will come back for breakfast again and again!

We decided to try this place out for breakfast today and I have to say that it was just average for me. I ordered and Huevos Rancheros and really nothing out of the norm. The eggs were a bit bland, the chile was there ,but I could barely taste it. Maybe I should've tried the Eggs Benedict as most folks seems to like them here. My wife tried the Roosters breakfast and she said the bacon was a little rubbery and the pancakes were a bit on the soggy side. Service was good however our waiter was attentive and got us our food pretty quick. Overall nothing special here just an average place for breakfast.

    (3)
  • Cody A.

Great food, great staff. The owner is also very friendly and personally checks on every table to make sure everything is to their satisfaction.

  • Jade N.

Good food with lots of options. I had the Mexicana omelet, lemonade mimosa, and seasoned potatoes. The potatoes weren't the best I've ever had but still good. Our server was very nice. They have a small outdoors patio area for nice days.

  • Amanda F.

We stopped in for breakfast. Seated immediately. Nice server. I got an omelet & the hubby got the regular eggs Benedict. I really liked my omelet. It had cream cheese it! Yum!!!! They had gluten free bread and pancakes! The hubby liked his eggs, but couldn't eat the hash browns because he said they tasted freezer burnt. All in all, good place with solid food! Will return again!

  • Erica J.

I ordered the Rooster Surprise to go and subbed my egg for French Toast for an extra $2. What I got was a sad piece of FT and some sausage with no pancakes which was my point of coming there. Alicia was my waitress and she had to be reminded to put the toast in the bag for my other order. That should have been a sign. I've attached a pic of what I paid $12+ for as a meal....not happy.

  • Travis V.

Friendly service and good food. Nice place to have breakfast in a Sunday morning. They also offer you coffee to go after your breakfast. A nice touch.

    (4)
  • Roger S.

Firstly, I would have given 5 stars if the service were better. I was there early on a Saturday morning and they weren't busy yet. I had to flag someone down to beg for coffee and take my order. I guess if you're by yourself, you get kind of ignored. And after the check was dropped off, I never saw anybody again to check on coffee, water, etc, or to pick up payment. That bring said, the food was AMAZING. Best Denver Omelet I have EVER had.

  • Cassie D.

This is by far, my favorite breakfast joint in the DTC. The biscuits and gravy are better than ANY OTHER B&G in the city. Casual inside, light and breezy. I came in hung over, but no one seemed to notice. The manager brought us our food, which was super cool. Very nice wait staff, the front girls could use a little friendliness education, but nothing to get upset about. Seriously. The B&G. Do it. Now.

    (5)
  • Victor B.

Not as good as the Egg & I flavor and quality wise but still good in a pinch for a nice Sunday breakfast/brunch.

  • Dayna B.

Fast service! Always friendly! While the menu is extensive, they invite you to be creative. They boast they are flexible. They allow you to really order what you want. Even the coffee has options, would you like raspberry chocolate? That was the flavor of the day today. They have great Benedicts and offer a lot of side options. The decor is cute... Funny little chicken and egg paintings. The Greenwood Vil. Location is close to many hotels, so if you are visiting this area... I suggest this Denver treat!

  • Sherry B.

I thought this would be a good place for breakfast but my first disappointment was only Pepsi products available - it was noisy & the service was friendly but a bit slow for folks needing to get to work! I had the Idaho skillet & it was tasty but the cheese was left under the broiler too long for my liking & the eggs were a bit too well done for over medium. The waitress never asked how my meal was & neglected to refill my water which I had in lieu of a Diet Coke!

    (3)
  • Matt G.

Solid breakfast joint. Good counter service, where I ate. Nice strong coffee, and I like that they gave me my own mini pot so I could top off myself. Enjoyed a fiesta skillet (minus the cheese) with sourdough toast. Actually didn't need all that toast (two BIG slices). The skillet was actually served in a bowl, not a skillet and had plenty of potatoes alongside the pork chili and chorizo. I cannot complain about the dish at all. Was a bit surprised by all the ladies working there without hair restraints. I know, that sounds funny, but having been in the restaurant biz, the long unrestrained hair has to be against health code, right? Hair restraint or not, I'd be back and recommend.

Decent omelette and friendly service. Sat right down when I got there. Checked in via Yelp and got a free coffee. I'd go back.

Unlike The Pancake House, you can make plans for Sunday brunch at The Delectable Egg and have confidence that you won't die of starvation waiting for a table. We arrived at noon and were seated in no time. Our waitress was very sweet and even commented that it was "refreshing to see people take their time" when we didn't know what we wanted to order yet after our drinks arrived. Refreshing, right back at ya! Drinks: Bloody Mary (I got the "not-so-basic" -- which actually is the basic -- but it wasn't really that basic; it came with spices around the rim and an olive, slice of pickle, pepper, and lemon slice) and a Mimosa. The Bloody was good - middle of the road. There are places that I would go just to have a Bloody Mary; this wouldn't be one of them, but it was still enjoyable. Entrees: Green Door omelette and Quiche Lorraine Crêpes. Not to overuse the word, but the portion sizes were also refreshing. We are both small girls, and the portions were completely manageable. (I almost always leave with a takeaway container. Not so, here.) My friend LOVED her crepes. My omelette was delicious thanks to the availability of not one, but two tabasco sauces (haaaallelujah!). I mean, it's an egg-white omelette. I knew what I was getting myself into, but I've had very flavourful veggie egg white omelettes before - it is possible. About 10 minutes before closing, a busboy came and asked if he could take our plates away. Both my friend and I still had about 1/10 of our meals left - fork in hand - and looked at each other, then him, completely bewildered. NO! Hell if I wasn't going to finish the last square inch of my omelette, and my friend said she was planning on licking her plate clean! Nearly died laughing at that point. Well, refreshing seems to be the word of the day, because I'm about to use it again. It was very refreshing that we were able to sit for two hours and not get pushed out, even as we brushed against closing time. All in all, the food was pretty average, especially considering that it was $20/pp, but I liked the vibe, had a great time, and the staff are lovely. We'll be back.

First time at this popular breakfast restaurant. My child loves breakfast dishes at anytime of the day so it was a great place for him. The restaurant is open, very clean and they have friendly staff. Food was great too. Kids have their own menus but mine ordered off the regular menu. The basic breakfast is the best way to go and the can sub out anything you don't like for something you do.

My husband and I enjoy breakfast and always trying new places. We decided to come in and try this place. Staff was very friendly. Food was fresh and very good. Mimosa's half orange juice half grapefruit was very tasty. Coffee was actually enjoyable. Would highly recommend this place.

Their French toast and waffles are super delish. Recommend anyone coming here to try this! :)

Food was delicious! Especially the stacked ranchero and the stuffed French toast and the peanut butter crunch French toast. Our server Diaranka was so sweet and nice!!! We are from out of town and would recommend this place!

They really should consider changing their name to "The Pretty Good Tasting Egg." This review is a little weird to write considering I come here semi-regularly for lunch, but it's largely a matter of convenience and price over taste. None of the food I've had has been bad, really, but very little of it seems exceptional. It's a tier above Denny's or Village Inn. Now that I've damned them with faint praise, some details: I typically order their breakfast, which I believe is called the Rooster's Special or something akin to that. A couple of eggs, bacon, toast, and a pancake, waffle or french toast. Nothing is going to jump off the plate with tastiness, but it should satisfy. The service is also consistently good and you can snag a free coffee when you check-in on Yelp. In truth, this review is probably closer to a 3.5. It just doesn't quite have the legs to jump up to 4. Next time I go I may try to explore the menu a bit for something to give it that push, but until then, 3 it is. If you are looking for a place to eat a decent, no-hassle breakfast, this fills the bill. They have pretty much anything you'd want to eat in the morning, but with few frills and no surprises.

I was pleasantly surprised...good food, excellent service, high energy environment. I ordered the Denver omelet and despite the contents being placed on the outside of the omelet (I have never seen this before, but I guess it helps the chef keep straight which omelet is which), It was pretty good. I normally don't eat the potatoes but I really liked these. Now of course, my mood may have been in a really good one since while waiting for our table we went into the nail place next door and I got a much needed mani/pedi. I also have not been to any of the other Delectable Egg locations, so perhaps I will try a different one out the next time and see how this one stacks up to the rest!

Every time we come in Monica has waited on us and she is such an amazing server! She gives us the best service and is the reason we keep coming back!!! The food is really good too and we are never disappointed. Also, it's nice that the managers check on our table every time we are here.

    (5)
  • Jessica H.

We were excited to try based on the reviews. I will make a long story short and say the food would have been really good if it would have made it to the table in time to be hot. Part of the table didn't even get their breakfast put in the computer to be made. All because our server was more worried about talking to his friends. I have had bad service, this was appalling. After we told him we weren't happy he threw a fit and didn't say a word for the next half of the meal. He needs a new career path.

The Delectable Egg is delicious. It has amazing Bloody Mary's, with a unique twist of their own. You'll have to stop by to see for yourself. Their pancakes are fluffy and sweet, and their omelettes are amazing! It's a great spot to grab brunch with friends and family. The service was fast and the waiters/waitresses were incredibly friendly and accommodating.

The food was perfect, but I am rating this location because of the owner and his staff. Talk about fantastic service. The staff was warm and friendly from the minute I walked in. I was served coffee right away. The waitress was very kind and gave me time to look over the menu, not rushed at all. Once the food came, the owner checked in and offered me Cholula to "spice it up a bit", he handed it to me himself. I ate the fiesta skillet with English muffins. After paying I thanked the waitress to leave, and before I could walk out, the owner came by again and offered a to-go cup and filled it with fresh coffee!! I was blown away by their professionalism and friendly environment. This is what a 5 star restaurant looks like!

They sent me my birthday free entree coupon--Happy Birthday to me!! A lot of coupons you have to buy an entree and get one free, but am glad The Delectable Egg isn't like that, especially since it was just me dining this morning. I got the french toast with scrambled eggs and bacon. Daniela, my server, was friendly, professional and efficient. Got my food within 5 minutes of ordering. The place had a good amount of people dining, so always a good sign. I liked the fact that Daniela asked me if I wanted some coffee to go--first time that has happened to me. Didn't take her on her offer, but that was very nice. All in all, a good breakfast!!

Staying around the corner and didn't want the hotel breakfast. Found this gem on Yelp within a mile... Quick service! Great food! So many yummy looking selections it was hard to choose! I had the Breakfast Croissant... SO GOOD! Ron had Carne Asada tacos... awesome! I got a free coffee with purchase for being a first time customer! Free is always good! Very buisness crowd in the morning.... but nice ambiance! Love that they leave a water and coffee refill jug on the table.

The speed of the service was amazing. The mimosas were delicious. Potatoes good, bacon good, cheese good, eggs on top amazeballs in my mouth, add an English muffin OMG = amazeballs sandwhich!! Waffle combo did not disappoint!

Maybe I expected more of an experience with having that name. Eggs Benedict were ok. Place was clean service was very good.

  • Steven S.

Maybe it was just an "off day"?? I've frequented 2 other Delectable Egg restaurants, and have found their food to be reliably good. More importantly, they served great coffee (well, not PERFECT... But darn good, especially for free-refill chain-store coffee!) But today.... The coffee was (dare I say it?) a little harsh. And that was followed by quiche Lorraine crepes that were kinda piled up (as a heap) very unattractively. With crepes that were (eek) dry and chewy. HOWEVER... the wait staff were universally wonderful; cheerful and attentive. A mixed bag, so hopefully a one-off bad day?

Great service, attentive management/owners, and good food. I've yet to order a brunch item that hasn't been great. I eat here 2-3 times per month and really enjoy the attention to cleanliness, presentation, and value. The art on the walls is nice too!

We came in for breakfast using a $10 Restaurant.com coupon. This is still one of my favorite breakfast places after church. They offer indoor and outdoor seating. I ordered my favorite Idaho Skillet and my husband ordered his favorite Fiesta Skillet. The Idaho Skillet had generous pieces of crispy bacon and diced scallions with chunks of potatoes covered with cheese and 2 eggs any style. Yum. The Fiesta Skillet had House specialty potatoes with chorizo, onions, and tomatoes smothered in pork green chili and lots of cheddar cheese with two eggs any style. It came with 3 small pancakes. I've tried their Florentine Benedict and California Benedict and both were really good. We will be back.

I fell in love with the first Delectable Egg I went to in LoDo. Unfortunately, this is not that place. Don't get me wrong: it's still crowded as heck on a weekend (as others have noted, not quite Original Pancake House level)...no, what I'm dropping the 3-star kiss of death for was the food. Here's what I ordered - the Wild Western omelette: "Very wild and spicy, with chorizo sausage, red and green peppers, onions, and jalapeños, topped with melted pepper jack cheese, scallions and covered with homemade chipotle sauce. Fluffy, farm-fresh and flavorful. All of our extra-fluffy omelettes are created from three, local farm-fresh eggs and are served with our specialty potatoes or hash browns and your choice of toast or English muffin." What I got: no red pepper, a few sad thin rings of green pepper, 3 or 4 small-ringed pieces of jalapeno, and *maybe* 2 or 3 micro-chunks of chorizo sausage. Excuse me for believing I was going to get something with hearty amounts of all the ingredients mixed into an amazing omelette. You know something's wrong when you see what your companion's getting and you don't even feel the slightest bit of attraction towards your meal; you just want theirs. :( Honestly, the most "amazing" thing about the meal was the English muffin -- toasted perfectly and deliciously brushed with butter right into it. And the water. The water was good. *snort* Had to ask for some Cholula to zest up the omelette some. *Very* wild and spicy? I'd call it very *MILD* and not spicy at all. Which was a disappointment. Unlike the LoDo locations, this place struck out with me -- probably won't be back.

We were originally going to eat at The Pancake House, but upon seeing the line of people w we picked this place as a second option. I am so glad the other restaurant was busy! This is a comfortable and homey feeling breakfast spot. It very much reminded me of southern restaurants I waitressed for as a teen. The coffee was strong, the service was exceptional, and the food was great quality. That being said do not order your traditional pancakes!! Their specialty menu is worth looking at. We had the truly French toast and stacked huevos rancheros with green chile. Both were delicious, but the later was the hands down winner. Do yourself a favor and order something south/mid western, and don't skip the green chile sauce. It's the perfect kind of spicy. Also, a big thank you to our awesome server Moi (Moises) for the recommendations and making our trip that much better. I will absolutely be back!

Found this place when visiting family in Denver. Service was more than acceptable and food was good. Very cute decor. Nice little patio. I would recommend this place if you find yourself in the DTC area at breakfast/brunch time. Much better than the over-rated Original Pancake House.

  • Cassidy T.

Super fast service. Got the eggs Benedict and it was great. Maybe just a tad heavy on the ham but I didn't mind. you get your own mini pot of coffee which is adorable and makes it easier rather than admitting the wait staff for more.

I've finally found a great brunch spot in the DTC! Ok, not that I've been on a hunt for one but still, I'm happy about the Delectable Egg. It was actually a little cool outside which was perfect because they have two patio areas, one in front and one on the side. You can sit out there without feeling like people are right on top of you and the service is quick here. Once we sat, our server was right there and spot on from that point after. Their coffee is strong and fresh and they give you a mini carafe to keep at the table which gives them brownie points in my book instead of having to flag down your server for a refill. Once I saw a variety of Eggs Benedict on the menu, I knew what I was having (even though they had pancakes topped with candy such as M&M's, that is what I really wanted but didn't want to go into sugar shock). I ordered the Portobello Road Eggs Benedict which was basically a suped up version of the traditional with tons more veggies like Portobello mushrooms, zucchini, peppers and onions and on a whole wheat English muffin. It was fantastic and I appreciated that not only do they offer whole wheat vs white english muffins but also the extra veggies in it. All in all, it was a pleasant experience and I can't wait to go back and try other dishes. If you live in the DTC area be sure to check out your mail, they send coupons including a much sought after BOGO!

It's decent- it seems like a lot of neighborhood people come here for brunch. My bf and i weren't too impressed with the food for the money we paid but whatever. He actually got a stomach as soon as we left the restaurant sooo I don't know. It's typical American breakfast and most things are definitely on a starch heavy side (don't get me wrong, I love diner food but sometimes you just want a light breakfast!). Wouldn't recommend if you're a health conscious person!

Super surprising result - beautiful Colorado morning and I am denied outside seating because I do NOT have a dog. Reason the manager said was because they didn't have a server outside but they did for the couple with the dog. Didn't taste the food because the service at the door was so surprising.

A misérable experience from the start. They sat us at a little table for 2 so small there wasn't room for anything. And it was sitting in a space big enough for a normal table. Adding to the misery the table was so uneven we had to hold it with one hand and eat with the other. Although I didn't do much eating. My food was ice cold when we got it. We saw our server when the order was taken and then when the check arrived. Not a single time in between. Pretty sure we won't be going back.

This place rocks!!!! Especially if you are an NPC competitor or on a strict diet with low carbs/high protein or whole grains. Everything tastes out of this world good. Plus they have a specialty coffee they serve daily thats just their normal cup 'o joe. I got macadamia nut and it was delish. Prices are fair too. I will be going out of my way to come here regularly.

This restaurant was awesome. The food was great and the service even better. Our server was "Jacob" - WOW - from start to finish top notch server. Run here for breakfast and/or lunch. You won't be sorry and will thank me.

If I had received my coffee in under ten minutes this review could have easily been five stars... But once I got my coffee the food it quickly made up for not getting a hot cup of Joe right off the bat. We sat at the bar because we didn't want to wait 20 minutes for a table (and I like to watch the food come out).... everything looked yummy. The waffles (which my gal had) was fresh and tasty. The Idaho scramble I had was really good... but once you add a side order of biscuits and gravy on top of it took it to a new level. It had better make the specials board... and if it doesn't order it that way! Service - 4 stars (excluding the coffee issue) Atmosphere - 4 stars food - 4.5 stars Give it a try!

I still like this place. The atmosphere & food etc. the staff are very friendly. I needed to vent in my last review. But I highly recommend this place. However I have a complaint about my most recent visit. I called in my order over the phone because I was on my way and didn't think I'd make it in time, and I feel bad about getting there too late before they close. I ordered the Idaho skillet with turkey bacon instead and since its been a while since I've been there I asked for no onions. The guy that took my order said it only comes with scallions. I said that's fine. Then when I heard him say no onions as he was writing i repeated myself and said scallions are good. I like them. I also asked if they could make the bacon crunchy. I don't know if he couldn't hear very well, is new or just not good at taking orders. Because when I opened it, the bacon was so far from crunchy it barely seemed cooked. No scallions in sight either . Like I said I still love this place and will still go back. But I had to vent my frustration because it's a tad too expensive to have so much of the order wrong when I was specific. I don't like being "That type of customer" I worked in customer service for many years. But paying for food when you specify your order and still don't get it is damn frustrating!

Fantastic place for brunch. The breakfast burrito was made a cut above the rest with the green chili sauce. The Stacked Ranchero Breakfast was suggested by my waitress, and it did not disappoint. The chipotle sauce was balanced well by the avocados. For the amount of flavors included in the dish, there was not a particular aspect that overpowered the others - a hard to find attribute in a Mexican brunch dish.

We came here for breakfast a few times when we were moving to Denver. The variety of breakfast options was great and everything we tried was tasty and cooked well. The fruit and vegetables were incredibly fresh (try the granola fruit and yogurt bowl!) and the potatoes were seasoned perfectly. The coffee was good and strong and we were offered to-go cups to take the rest of the carafe with us! Service was exceptional!

California benedict was great. French was awesome and huge, their healthy choices are still flavorful and filling. The staff and service is pleasant, efficient and fun

This place is consistently good, but not great. It is a tad bit pricey for what you get as well. My girlfriend got the farmer skillet and added mushrooms, while I got the breakfast burrito with extra jalapenos. It was a $26 breakfast. IMO that is a bit high. The wait was set at about 20 minutes and we actually only waited about 10. The server was great. Long story short. If we don't have a coupon, we will spend the same amount at snooze or denver biscuit company.

Okay breakfast spot. Fast, attentive service. The patio is area is nice to see the people coming and going from other shops. We wanted to try something local. I had a skillet meal; the potatoes were a little under done. The wife had a breakfast croissant that would have been better had they not drowned it in hollandaise. On the plus side, the individual coffee and water carafes were nice.

Amazing! The food and the service were excellent. Chose this place because the Original Pancake House had a 40min wait, and I'm so glad I came here! Had the French toast, and it's the best I've ever had.

We drive past this location almost every day, and I regret that it took is this long to stop in for brunch. There was no wait for two at noon on a Saturday- a nice surprise, given the popularity of brunch in Denver these days. The waitress, Monica, was super attentive and helpful without being over-bearing, and the ambiance was comfy-trendy without being overwhelming. The food was tasty-the potatoes are pretty darn good, and the green chili is the favorite of my connoisseur husband. We will be back-it's great to find a friendly breakfast joint in the DTC that isn't packed with a two hour wait.

This place is just A-ok! I love the coupons that we had for this place in the entertainment book but if we do not have that I do not plan on going back. The food is as normal. Service is just fine. We did enjoy our brunch on the patio because it was a beautiful day.

I wasn't even going to write this review, but being over a week later, and I am still thinking about this experience, it needs to be shared. First, my beau and I went on Father's Day because the wait is typically not too bad and we live right down the block. We have been several times and it hasn't been remarkable, but it is a good quick breakfast. When we went on Father's Day (what is it about Father's Day and Brunch???), we were told the wait would be about 20 minutes. Awesome, that will give us time to make all of our "Happy Father's Day" calls to Dads, Grandpas, Uncles etc. The wait was actually 45 minutes (not the hostess's fault, she has no idea how long it is going to take people to eat, pay, leave and have the table reset). When we sit down (a lovely table by the window), I was ready for a Bloody Mary. Our server took, no joke, 7 minutes to come over to our table. When she did, there was no smile, no "Hello, how are you" but just "What can I get you to drink" I then put my order in for a Bloody Mary and asked for 2 carafes of water. 3 minutes later the water arrived, but we had no glasses. 15 minutes later, my Bloody Mary hit the table. (We still haven't ordered at this point). At that time, I wanted to leave money for my drink and leave, but knowing that there would be no short wait anywhere else, and thinking that DE would be better than McDonalds, the BF had us stay. Now, an hour and 15 minutes after we had first put our names on the list, our order was being taken by an equally emotionless and different server. I ordered the burrito (how hard can cooking chicken, rice, veggies and black beans really be?), and boyfriend ordered eggs, toast, hashbrowns (i think) and bacon *well done*. Fast forward 23 minutes to me not touching my drink because it tasted sour and not being able to flag down anyone to tell them about it. Our food arrived, was dropped on our table, and the server left. First impression...The black beans were straight out of a can, not drained, not warm. The guac that was on my burrito, was brown- BROWN!!!!! I, luckily, grabbed our server and showed her. She said "well, if i got another side for you it would come from the same batch, soooooooooo...." WHAT?!?! That is how you respond?!?! I forked it off my burrito and cut in. THE MOST DISGUSTING bite of food I have ever put in my mouth (and I have had Rocky Mountain Oysters). The chicken was old, the veggies were flavorless and the "green chili" was was on the top, was the flavorless consistency of snot (sorry, no better way to describe it). I didn't eat anymore of that. I had some of the beaus toast (which was the only edible part of his meal too). When she came back 15 minutes later, she asked if everything was ok (Hey, hey, customer service!!!). I told her that it was nasty. She offered to take it off the bill, but didn't offer to bring anything else (like a menu to pick something else out). I said, Ok thats fine. She brought our check with the burrito on it and told us "Pay at the counter". Lacking the energy to wait and track her down again and wait again, we paid the $27 bill and headed straight to Chipotle (where I had green guac and a burrito that had the freshest chicken and fajita veggies). I have been known to order "high risk" items on the menu, because of high risk/high reward. ***Public Service Announcement*** DO NOT GO TO D.E. UNLESS YOU HAVE A DYING WISH TO EAT GARBAGE DRESSED LIKE FOOD.

I do not think you will ever find a better breakfast place in all of Greenwood Village. Period. From their massive and scrumptious unique pancakes to their fluffy and of the highest standard of any french toast in the nation to their french press which is the highlight coffee of any diner. Go here if you don;t mind waiting for something completely worth it and amazing.

This is a nice location for a breakfast restaurant. The interior is all brand new and clean. The organization and traffic flow could be better, especially, if there are a few guests waiting. The service is really nice even though most of the servers seem to be high school students from the nearby CCHS. They're always quick with the re-fills and will even ask you if you would like coffee or tea to go with your leftovers! The food is good but not yet consistent. Especially the potatoes... the hash browns are downright disgusting at times. Definitely will come back for all things other than the potatoes :D

From the Tove Lo playing in the background to the great service of the staff, I couldn't have asked for a better experience for breakfast this morning. Daniella, the Assistant Manager, made me feel welcome and gave a great waffle combo recommendation.

I have been here on multiple occasions and have had the same waiter twice and the same waitress twice. I also have had different dishes in the morning and always left happy. The french toast is great and they season their eggs benedict with something I just can't put my finger on. Regardless, each meal is great. Orange juice and coffee are your run of the mill flavors. Expect this place to be busy on weekends so get there early. By 10-11AM, there is usually a wait time as many people go for brunch. Take advantage of their mailer coupons on weekdays!

My wife and I were in today the 23rd to have a late breakfast, we chose the Delectable Egg based on the menu as well as yelp reviews. I had the Mexican Sunrise Frittata this is the description; Chorizo sausage, green chilies, onions & Spanish-style salsa topped with melted cheese and sour cream. Very Mediterranean ~ an open-faced omelette. A welcome Mediterranean import, all our fluffy frittatas are cooked up with three farm-fresh eggs and a variety of tasty fillings, all baked to perfection. Served with our specialty potatoes or hash browns and your choice of toast or English muffin. The Frittata was very small, for 3 eggs they must have been medium eggs, the Chorizo Sausage, Green Chilies and Onions all seemed to be part of the canned Salsa as it was hard to even find any signs of the Chorizo never mind taste it. My wife had a waffle that was undercooked, you could tell by looking at it, now I will stop and just say my wife really dislikes when I send food back so no we did not tell the waiter or anyone about the undercooked waffle, but anyone serving or cooking it should have known, it is not like a steak that is a little too rare, the top was all pale. My other gripe is a small one but 2 bucks for a small English muffin really?

*this is solely based on take out experience* breakfast in bed, yes please! the boyfriend was out on a business meeting here and surprised me with a big bag full of food. California eggs benedict: tomatoes, spinach, and avocado on english muffins, hash browns, and a nice large side of bacon. I must say everything was packaged quite well and still at a good temperature when I opened it up. HUGE portions! Even though this was a surprise, I really appreciate brunch places that offer take out-you would not believe some of the 'policies' out there. I would be willing to return, but possibly at the Downtown location-it's closer to my neighborhood

The service was great, the coffee was good and my food was out super fast, but there was something lacking in my actual food. I ordered the California Benedict and the spinach and avocado was nice and fresh, but my main problem was the hollandaise sauce. It was too buttery, but not in a good way because it was super thick and congealed over my eggs. Everything else was great, but if I'm in the area I still pick the original pancake house over the delectable egg.

This place is dirty. We were sat at a table that had not yet been cleared of the previous diner's dishes yet. It took 5-7 minutes for anyone to clear the table of the old used dishes. When they did, no wipe down of the table so we were left having to make sure we didn't touch the old sticky syrup from the people before us. I watched our server take the water carafe that was left on our table from the last diners that was still about a third full of water and go to the soda machine and fill it up with more water for us WITHOUT even rinsing it or dumping out the old water from the last table. That is absolutely disgusting. I don't expect the carafe to be put in a dishwasher every time (I guess) but even if you are going to reuse them from table to table have the decency to dump out the used water the last table left. SO gross. I am not a germ freak but this was just simply not okay. We left after seeing this and will not be back.

I could not possibly be happier with The Delectable Egg. I bring my dog to their patio in the summertime. A man who I believe to be the owner brings her a water bowl and often treats. I eat a mostly vegan diet, which usually makes it difficult to eat out. This is not so at The Delectable Egg. This morning, the waitress steamed the soymilk for my coffee without me even asking. I also ordered a few vegan sides (beans, avocado, and the house potatoes.) Instead of just bringing me the sides, my waitress brought a beautifully presented meal, complete with a slice of tomato and chives. After every breakfast I've had at the Delectable Egg, the waiter or waitress offers a coffee to go. Every experience here has been great, and I have been to the Delectable Egg 15+ times. The service is unmatched. Thank you Delectable Egg!

We love the egg! Its always a good time, the place is usually packed, but you don't have to wait around forever for a seat. Staff is fun and friendly, the food gets put quickly, and if you are ever torn between making a decision on food items, the staff will give you their recommendation, and even ways to alter it so you can enjoy it more! The patio is great! We used to brunch there every week when my parents lived down the road. Everyone knew them and we were always greeted with hugs and jokes.

As a regular customer of the Delectable Egg Greenwood Village I can give a review based on more than an occasional experience--some people offer a review on a once or twice experience which even the finest gourmet restaurants sometime misstep. Overall, the food, the service, the ambience, are truly outstanding and consistent. The new menu items just introduced are superb and I highly recommend the Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict which is unusual but fabulous! The hollandaise sauce is perfect--not to lemony or overly spiced. I also love the Sicilian and French Toast Royale. My wife loves the Mexicana Omlette and many of the entrees are large enough to take some home if you are not a big eater. The staff is so friendly and helpful with just the right amount of contact--always there when you need them but not "in your face" every couple of minutes! The noise level is comfortable as opposed to the pancake house which is often overpowering. Outside dining is available and they are pet friendly on the patio for the dog lovers. If you are in a hurry their counter is great for individuals or parties of two and they always have the Wall Street Journal or Denver Post floating around as well as flat screen TV if you want to read the closed captioning. Lastly, their loyalty program is the best around with monthly perks of a free entree when two are purchase with accompanying drinks as well as points accumulation which earn freebies as well. Sometimes I feel guilty using them since it is such a good value to begin with. So head on over and visit Patrick and the gang and I know you have a great meal and better experience! Tom S

A for AMAZING!! This is as good as it gets for breakfast. The cinnamon roll was to die for, the stuffed french toast... HEAVEN, and the breakfast burrito with green chile was out of this world. Everything was perfectly prepared and delicious. But our favorite part of the entire experience was the coffee bar! They have every flavored syrup you can imagine to spruce up your coffee or latte (even alcohol, like Irish Cream and Godiva liquer!). We had a pumpkin spice latte and hot chocolate - YUM. The staff was very friendly, from our first contact with the hostess to our smiling and attentive waiter. A+ for this restaurant, it's our new favorite and we WILL be back.

If your familiar with The Good Egg or The Pancake House, this is par for the course... Nice menu, some unique twists on some popular dishes... I enjoyed the California Benedict which was great. The order came out wrong to start, but they quickly corrected it. Phenomenal combination with spinach, tomato, and avocado... Hollandaise sauce was a little on the sweeter side which wasn't bad... Service was a little slow but it was a busy Saturday. I do like that they offered a to-go coffee when they brought the check, always a plus in my book!

I ordered breakfast to pick up the day before and the day after Christmas. Karen took my order both times and also was there to check me out and give me my order. Let me tell you, Karen is always smiling. She is the kind of person that makes your visit better than the food, which is also very very good.

I can't believe this place doesn't have a five star average review. We go to the Delectable Egg at least once a week, up to three times a week. The service is always excellent and the food is fantastic. It always tastes very fresh and I'm yet to get sick of the Portabella Road (eggs benedict with mushrooms and grilled veggies with a side of home potatoes or hash browns - YUM!). Everything is made to order and easy to customize. I used to frequent The Egg and I until they messed up my veggie omelette with a large piece of ham. I was so turned off (as a vegetarian Jew) that I stopped going there. However, even at their best, The Egg and I paled in comparison to The Delectable Egg. I'm not sure if it's the menu or the noticeably fresh taste (probably both), the Delectable Egg is waaaay better. Even as regulars, I don't think we've been there once where the manager hasn't come by to check on us. He does so with every table. Clearly he cares about the restaurant, the quality of the food, and the diners' experience. He's always made us feel very welcomed. My friend, also a regular, did not like their old coffee, and so when they recently changed it, they brought him a cup on the house just to let him have a taste (it is nice and strong now). The Irish coffees are only $2 when it snows, a nice perk this snowy April! Finally, almost all the restaurants in the area share one problem during weekdays: hoardes of loud, obnoxious teenagers from the nearby high school. For some reason, they tend to avoid The Delectable Egg - another perk! :)

This Delectable Egg is new (only a month or so old) so my friends and I went to brunch there last week to check it out. I HIGHLY recommend it. The service was great, the food was delicious and the drinks were amazing (I highly recommend getting the Bloody Mary). The staff was friendly and accommodating to our large group and the menu was extensive with lots of options to choose from. We all got something different and everything was delicious. The atmosphere was fun and inviting and everything was clean and fresh. Overall a great experience and I can't wait to go back!

Went to Colorado during the Labor Day Weekend - 2012. First time visiting to Colorado & was staying in Englewood, CO. Looked up a few breakfast places & this one popped up with a good star rating plus it was nearly 5 minutes away from the hotel we were staying at. BIG MISTAKE!!!! I am not sure why the other yelpers gave this even above a 2 star because honestly it doesnt deserve it. Service sucks -- how? It took the hostess almost 20 minutes to find a seat, mind you there were only 2 of us (wife & I), & when we first walked in she advised us it would take10 to 15 minutes. Now, I know 5 minutes is not a lot but that is NOT where the service sucked but was part of it. After the hostess sat us down it took nearly 10 minutes for the waitress to come in & ask for our drinks. She never greeted us & said good morning. She never asked us if we would like to hear the specials or anything remotely close to that. She came in took our drink order & brought them back without a smile. Then after we placed the order it took nearly 20 minutes for our order to come back. We didnt order a complicated meal nor did we order everything on the plate, we ordered Egg's & some pancakes -- honestly, 20 minutes!!! The waitress NEVER ONCE came back to our table to apologize that our order is taking longer than expected nor did she come back & ask us if we would like a refill. FINALLY when the food came to us I was shocked at the taste -- the egg's seemed very dry & the pancakes tasted as if they reheated someone else's order. If you are brand new to COLORADO -- STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE -- you can get better food & service at a Motel than this establishment, but, if you like crappy food & very bad service then you will love this place. Our trip to Colorado was great -- the people were friendly & the place is nothing but beautiful, besides this establishment.

Great breakfast items! Their staff is always friendly and the owner is there all the time making sure everything is cooked and served properly. Their specialty Benedict's are awesome and they have a nice little patio during the summer. I like that they serve alcohol here too & when it snows Irish coffees are only $2! Can't beat that!

I LOVE this place. So much so that I have no idea why I have waited so long to write a review. My boyfriend and I have been very disappointed by many brunch places around the tech center/centennial area. We have tried them all and the only other one we like is Snooze-however we do not like waiting an hour and a half when we are quoted 30 minutes, that was the end of that. We go here almost every weekend because it is close to home, they serve great food made with FRESH ingredients, AND they serve booze. Not that we need booze with brunch, but it is a nice option to have. My favorite thing on their menu is the California Benedict, it comes with FRESH spinach, tomato and avocado- YUM! My boyfriend always gets a skillet- he doesn't discriminate, he likes them all. I am not a big breakfast meat person- all sausage is gross to me and bacon is just a step up from that. They actually have a huge menu filled with all kinds of options for me AND they will customize any order (sub chicken, yes please). Their coffee is delicious and their OJ is fresh squeezed! The customer service is also worth noting. I have been a server for years and I tip accordingly. I think that there has only been 1 server that we didn't care for in all the times we have been in. Everyone is so friendly and accommodating (which is very hard for me to understand since they have to work IN THE MORNING). The owner/manager is also great, he talks to EVERY table. That is how every restaurant should be. He even brought us a free cinnamon roll (sinfully delicious) one day when they were shorthanded and we had to wait (an extra 3 minutes) for our server to come to our table. I really can't say anything negative about this place. You are not going to get a fancy/trendy breakfast here, you are going to get a great selection of fresh made food for reasonable prices.

I can't say enough good things about the delectable egg. The food, the location, the service, it's all fabulous. The staff is so friendly and willing to help you out with whatever suggestions or any modifications you might have. The skillets are absolutely phenomenal and I would ALWAYS suggest the chocolate chip rooster cakes on the side :) The managers come around to check and make sure everything is okay, I always feel like they are actually concerned with my input as a customer. And to top it all off, they are so speedy! The best breakfast in town for sure, I'm sure I will be a regular here for a long while.
